New Delhi : Virat Kohli was playing his 100th Test match for India when the Indian team came to play the game against Sri Lanka; but the other interesting fact associated with the game is that Rohit Sharma became the second oldest captain for Team India in Tests.

Anil Kumble remains the oldest Test captain. He was 37 years and 36 days old when he lead Team India as the Test captain. Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, is 34 years and 308 days old.

Rohit Sharma has proved his mettle in the limited over format as he is running high on 12 successive wins since taking over captaincy from Virat Kohli for limited over format.



He currently has most of number of wins as skipper of the Indian team at home in T20I cricket.

India and Sri Lanka are playing their first Test match in Mohali.
