Mumbai : India's Test vice-captain Rohit Sharma has reportedly been injured during a practice session in Mumbai on Monday ahead of the much-awaited tour of South Africa. An Inside Sport report said that Rohit Sharma was injured on a delivery bowled by Raghvendra.

He was seen in pain as the ball struck his hand; though after some time he was seen okay after receiving basic treatment. His fans are hoping that there is nothing serious with his injury.


No official statement has come so far on the incident. The Indian players will undergo a three-day quarantine in Mumbai before taking the flight to South Africa – tentatively on December 16. 

Recently, Rohit Sharma was appointed India's vice-captain for the red ball game.
