New Delhi : In the first Test match against South Africa, Rohit Sharma created a record by becoming the first batsman in Test history to score two hundreds on debut as an opener. With nine boundaries and four sixes, Rohit Sharma reached the magical triple digit figures.

In the Test match he has also smashed a total of 10 sixes which are maximum by any Indian batman in one Test match. Rohit went past Navjot Singh Sidhu who had hit eight sixes in a Test against Sri Lanka.

Rohit's century in the second innings once again placed India into the commanding position after South Africa were bowled out for 431 runs in the first innings. India started their second innings with a lead of 71 runs.

In the second innings, India scored 323/4 before declaring their innings.

South Africa will now need 395 runs to win the game. They finished their day on 11/1 in their second innings and need 384 more runs to win.
