Shardul Thakur makes debut with Dhoni's 300th ODI
New Delhi : Shardul Thakur made his debut for 'Men in Blue' with Mahendra Singh Dhoni playing his 300th ODI match. Skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first.

Pacer Shardul Thakur replaced Kedar Jhadav as the skipper decided to try new players after attaining an unassilable win over Sri Lanka.
He was waiting for a long time to get a chance to play for Team India though he had been performing in India A, Kings XI Punjab and the first class cricket games in India.
In March 2017, he was bought by Pune Supergiants for the Indian Premier League.
