New Delhi : Since India lost their World Cup 2023 final to Australia, the social media is abuzz with the demand that skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli should announce their retirement from the cricket. Some reports even claimed that Mr Sharma will not be playing the upcoming T20I World Cup, which is scheduled to happen in about seven months from now.

Former Indian cricketer Ashish Nehra shared his opinion over the retirement of the two players from T20I. He said that age will not be the main criteria if these players decide to continue playing for India. However, with the form they are in, the youngsters will be required to perform better to keep their place in the team.

He also mentioned that that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announce their retirement, he doesn't think the selectors will drop both players. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are outstanding for any format, and as long as they are scoring runs, they should continue playing. In the recent days, both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli displayed excellent batting performances in the World Cup. Virat Kohli scored the most runs in the World Cup.
