There will be no compromise with credibility of BCCI: Sourav Ganguly
New Delhi : Soon after taking charge as the new BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly said he will lead BCCI exactly how he lead Team India with no compromise on the credibility.
Drawing a parallel between the BCCI chief post and his appointment as the captain of team India, he said the prime focus will remain on the corruption-free run of the sports body.
"It is an honour to have been asked to take over, when it is a new start for the BCCI. It’s a new start, a similar situation to when I took over India’s captaincy," Ganguly said.
On Wednesday, Sourav Ganguly was unanimously appointed as president of India’s troubled cricket board, the sport’s most powerful body.
The BCCI announced the news via their official Twitter handle with a picture of Sourav Ganguly taking charge in the presence of BCCI CEO Rahul Johri, Electoral officer N Gopalaswami and other top board officials.
