New Delhi : Indian skipper Virat Kohli has become the first Indian who has more than 100-million followers on Instagram. He is also in the fourth position when the scale is zoomed out to the world. Top on the line is Cristiano Ronaldo (265 million), followed by Lionel Messi (186 million) and Neymar (147 million).

Interestingly, the second Indian with the most followers on Instagram after Virat Kohli is Priyanka Chopra with around 60.8 million followers, around 40 million less than the current number of the former.

Virat Kohli is also among the top 10 most earning sportsmen via sponsored posts on Instagram.

Kohli is at No.6 in the list headed by Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, who has earned the most through Instagram posts during the lockdown period between March 12 and May 14 according to data collected by ‘Attain’.

The Indian skipper earned a total of 379,294 pounds via sponsored posts.

On the work front, he is currently heading the Indian cricket team in the ongoing Test series against England. India is currently leading the series 2-1.

If India managed to draw or win the match then they will qualify for the final spot in World Test Championship against New Zealand.
