Mumbai : Team India once again proved that their performance as a team does not depend on a few names and they are well capable of keeping things in their favour in all conditions.

The Boxing Day Test match concluded in four days with results in India's favour. The hosts faced defeat by 8 wickets, credit to their low scores in both the innings.

Lauding the efforts by Indian side, master blaster Sachin Tendulkar showered praise on the team and tagged it as a "terrific achievement".

"To win a Test match without Virat, Rohit, Ishant and Shami is a terrific achievement. Loved the resilience and character shown by the team to put behind the loss in the 1st Test and level the series. Brilliant win. Well done TEAM INDIA!," Sachin Tendulkar wrote on Instagram.

Captain Ajinkya Rahane was adjudged the 'Man of the Match' for his stupendous performance (112 & 27*) in the Boxing Day Test.
