Yuzvendra Chahal and K. Gowtham test positive for coronavirus

New Delhi : Days after Krunal Pandya tested positive for coronavirus, two more Indian cricketers - Yuzvendra Chahal and K. Gowtham – have turned positive for COVID-19 infection. According to a media report, Krunal Pandya and six others – Krunal’s brother Hardik, Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav, Manish Pandey, Deepak Chahar, and Ishan Kishan – who were in isolation would return to India.

Both Yuzvendra Chahal and K. Gowtham have been isolated and their fans are now praying for their speedy recovery.

Surprisingly, both the cricketers had tested negative two days back before the third and final T20I.

Earlier, Krunal tested positive in both the Rapid Antigen and RT-PCR tests on July 27. As per Sri Lankan rules for during the pandemic, if a person tests positive, the individual would have to be in isolation for the next 10 days before going in for fresh tests.
