Argentina without football is impossible to think: PM Modi

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in Argentina to attend G20 Summit, met FIFA President Gianni Infantino on the third day of his visit. Sharing a picture of a football jersey gifted to him, Mr. Prime Minister said Argentina is unimaginable without the sport.

"Impossible to come to Argentina and not think about football. Argentinian players are tremendously popular in India. Today, received this jersey from @FIFAcom President Gianni Infantino. I thank him for the kind gesture."

Before this, he had mentioned about football at the 'Yoga for peace' event where he had said that India and Argentina are connected with football.

"If Argentina is interested in India's philosophy, art, music and dance, there are millions of fans of the Argentine football stars in India. Maradona's name is used as a proverb in India," he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Argentina capital Buenos Aires to attend the 13th G20 Summit and has been meeting a number of world leaders.
