Five game ban on Cristiano Ronaldo for pushing referee
New Delhi : Cristiano Ronaldo has been banned for five games after he was found guilty of pushing a referee during Real Madrid vs Barcelona game that his team won by 3-1.
Ronaldo was sent off the field after he had received two yellow cards – one for removing his shirt after hitting a foal in 79th minute, second card came three minutes later for falling inside the penalty box.
De Burgos in his report mentioned that Cristiano Ronaldo pushed him lightly following the dismissal.
The judge during the hearing found Ronaldo guilty and booked him under article 96 that entitles a ban of 4-12 game on the guilty player.
The Portuguese player, 32, was also fined 3,005 euros ($3,538) for the action against the referee and 800 euros ($942.84) for the dismissal, while Real Madrid was fined 1,400 ($1649.97) and 350 euros ($412.49), respectively.
