Rohit Sharma joins Mumbai Indians squad for IPL 2021

Mumbai : Skipper Rohit Sharma joined Mumbai Indians squad for the upcoming Indian Premier League on Monday as he returned after a series win against England. He showed tremendous form during the event as team India registered 2-1 win.

The official Twitter handle of Mumbai Indians shared a video of Rohit Sharma arriving in Mumbai.

Earlier in the day, Hardik and Krunal Pandya also joined the Mumbai Indians squad.

"Firstly really happy and very proud to represent India. It was always my dream to play for the country. It feels great and I was really happy to be part of such an amazing unit. And now, that role is over and I am back to my Mumbai Indians family. Looking ahead to unbelievable times ahead," said Suryakumar in a video posted on the official Twitter handle of Mumbai Indians.

IPL 2021 is all set to begin from April 9; defending champions Mumbai Indians will face Royal Challengers Bangalore in the tournament opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
