Abu Dhabi : KL Rahul alone made more runs than the whole Royal Challengers Bangalore team in their second IPL 2020 match against Kings XI Punjab.

Virat Kohli-led RCB started badly and lost their three wickets for mere 4 runs and after the first three overs, enough to lower the morale of fans and other players in the team. AB de Villiers, however, tried to struggle a bit to sail the sinking boat but nothing worked for the team on the day.

Later, after the team faced a shameful defeat, it was trolled mercilessly on the social media with most people comparing the scorecard with a football game of a team.

Here are some of the tweets which compared RCB's performance in the first three overs with a football game scorecard.

KL Rahul's record-breaking 132-run knock on just 69 balls helped KXIP score 206/3 in their 20 overs. RCB were never in the chase right from the first over when opener Devdutt Padikkal was dismissed for one. They were eventually dismissed for 109, handing KXIP a huge 97-run win.

With this win, KXIP move into the positives in terms of net run rate after having lost in the Super Over to Delhi Capitals on Sunday. They are atop the points table with a net run rate of 2.425.

RCB, on the other hand, have some mulling to do as they are third from the bottom with a net run rate of -2.175.

After the defeat, RCB's official twitter handle acknowledged that Punjab was a better team today and promised to return stronger in coming games.
