New Delhi : It’s good news for West Indies all-rounder Marlon Samuels. IPL franchise Delhi Daredevils have roped in Samuels in place of injured wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock.

The South African was ruled out just ahead of the IPL due to an index figure injury during the New Zealand tour. The West Indian all rounder is all set to join Daredevils on April 29.

Samuels was among the unsold players in the auction. He last played IPL for Pune Warriors in 2013.

In 149 T20 matches since his debut in 2006, he scored 3757 runs at an average of 32.66 with a strike rate of 117.51. He has got two hundreds against his name.

Not only with bat, he has also taken 68 wickets with an economy rate of 7.01.

Currently, Daredevils placed seventh with only two wins from six matches and they are set to play their next match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens.
