IPL 10: Mumbai Indians hosts 18,000 underprivileged kids against Gujarat Lions

Mumbai : It was sea of blue in Wankhede Stadium during the IPL match between Gujarat Lions and Mumbai Indians. As a part of Education For All’ initiative Mumbai Indians hosted a group of 18,000 underprivileged children, providing them the experience of watching an IPL game.

 

To support the cause of equal and rightful education for every child in the society, Mumbai Indians each year dedicates one of its home matches exclusive for these underprivileged children.

Started in 2010 through partnership with various NGOs, Reliance Foundation and Mumbai Indians have positively impacted the lives of over 1,00,000 (one lakh) underprivileged children in support of their education, MI said in a release.

 

Nita Ambani, chairperson at Reliance Foundation, and Mumbai Indians owner, recently credited the success of EFA as the biggest win for her.
