However, his recent outstanding form in the second half of the tournament gave a strong indication that it was within reach. This was confirmed when he brilliantly dismantled the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) with a superb knock of 83 earlier in the week at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.
