Watch: Kieron Pollard tries football skills in cricket, backfires

Mumbai : Kieron Pollard has earned fame of one of the best fielders in the Indian Premier League 2019, but every day is not the same and the video below is a proof. They say confidence is good, but over confidence must be avoided, well Kieron did not follow the saying and was left embarrassed.

During a match with the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kieron Pollard thought of showing his football skills while chasing a ball on the boundary ropes; with the ball almost stopping and ample amount of field left he chose to deflect the ball by his legs towards the other running fielder Hardik Pandya. Unfortunately, he ended up kicking the ball towards the boundary.

However, that was not the end of Pollard's embarrassment as the momentum of the sprint carried him up and over the advertisement hoarding.

Watch the video clip of the incident below:

While his teammates looked concerned about injuries he may had received during the attempt, the commentators were left ROFLing over the incident.

"Look at the big fella go ... Boom and up and over. What do they call that manoeuvre in high jump?" said one commentator.

"That's what you do when you kick it to the boundary for four. That's exactly what you do. You kick it to the boundary and then you make as if you are going to have the collisions of all collisions," said Kevin Pietersen.

Thankfully, Kieron Pollard did not receive any serious injury.

Mumbai Indians later won the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the super over.
