CWG 2018: Jitu Rai clinches gold in 10M air pistol

Gold Coast : Indian shooters Jitu Rai and Om Prakash Mitharval made India proud with a Gold and Bronze medal respectively in 10M Air Pistol event in Commonwealth Games at Gold Coast.

Jitu Rai also created a CWG record with 235.1 points in the final game to grab Gold for India.

Kerry Bell of Australia took silver with 233.5. Om Mitharwal bagged the bronze for India with 214.3.

Om shot 584 in the qualifying round to equal the record set by fellow Indian Samaresh Jung at the 2006 CWG in Melbourne.

Rai reached the final with a score of 570.
