David Warner shaves off head to support medical staff, nominates Virat Kohli to do it

New Delhi : Australian opening batsman David Warner showed support to the medical staff fighting coronavirus all across the world by shaving off his head and nominated his friends from the cricket community to follow the same.

He posted a video on social media in which he can be seen shaving off his head with the help of a trimmer. He later posted a picture of him with a very short cropped hair with the message, "Been nominated to shave my head in support of those working on the frontline #Covid-19 here is a time-lapse. I think my debut was the last time I recall I’ve done this. Like it or not."

According to a leading Australian daily, the death toll in Australia is 19 while 4000 positive cases of coronavirus have been registered till date.

“You don’t have to be Einstein to realise (the Bangladesh tour) is probably unlikely to go ahead, particularly in June. Whether it’s cancelled or pushed back, we’re not quite sure at the moment,” cricket.com.au quoted Paine as saying.

David Warner nominated cricketers like Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Pat Cummins, Marcus Stoinis among others to accept the challenge and shave their heads to show solidarity with those fighting to save the lives of others.
