Jakarta : Rahi Sarnobat on Wednesday gave India second Gold medal in shooting at the 2018 Asian Games. She won the top prize in Women’s 25m Pistol after two rounds of shoot-off on Wednesday. Manu Bhaker finished sixth.

She also became first Indian woman to clinch Asian Games Gold medal as both Rahi and Yangpaiboon shot four out of five shots in the first shoot-off but the Indian prevailed over her opponent by missing one less in the second round.

Sarnobat is a veteran of the sport and the 27-year old won bronze in the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon. In the Commonwealth Games, she has won three medals till date – gold (2010, 2014) and silver (2010).

 

Earlier, Apurvi Chandela and Ravi Kumar opened the account with a bronze in 10m Air Rifle Team event, Deepak Kumar won silver in 10m Air Rifle individual event and 18-year old Lakshay clinched the silver medal in Men’s Trap.
