ISSF World Cup: Akhil Sheoran scores gold in shooting debut

New Delhi : Debutant Akhil Sheoran scored a gold medal in men’s 50m rifle 3 position at the ISSF World Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico. 

With this Akhil has become the fourth Indian to clinch a gold medal in his debut match.

With Akhil's gold India is topping the points tally and it is most likely that India will end up being on the top spot for the first time in ISSF world cup.

Sheoran shot 455.6 in the final to pip Austria’s Bernhard Pickl in second place with 452.

The ISSF World Cup Stage 1 in Guadalajara (MEX) will conclude tomorrow with the Skeet Men final, scheduled at 5:00 pm (UTC-6:00).
