AB de Villiers disapproves Serena Williams' action at Naomi's moment of glory at US Open
New Delhi : In the final game of US Open 2018, 20-year-old Naomi Osaka stunned legendary Serena Williams to win her maiden Grand Slam at the Flushing Meadows. The Japanese tennis player took away the game with a straight set win of 6-2 and 6-4.
Serena Williams, who fought with the chair umpire, got slammed on Twitter by the famous cricketer AB de Villiers for robbing Naomi Osaka's moment of glory. He wrote, "No one deserves to win your 1st major with the sound of booing around! Serena should have handled the situation better. Give the young girl her moment in the spotlight. All professional athletes have moments where we feel hard done by, u keep your head down & try to fight it out."
