New Delhi : World No.1 Rafael Nadal is winning hearts on internet for his sweet gesture he showed to a ball kid who was hit by a ball smashed by him during a game in the Australian Open. It was one of the Spaniard’s favourite forehands which hit the girl.
Nadal was playing a second-round match against Federico Delbonis and the incident took place when while returning his opponent’s serve he hit it wide and the girl who was standing near the chair umpire was hit.
He immediately rushed to the girl to find out if she is okay, after taking note of her injury; Nadal went up and placed a sweet kiss on her cheeks. The moment brought a round full of applause and cheer in the stadium.

Meanwhile, Nadal won the game in straight sets — 6-3, 7-6(4), 6-1 to enter the third round in the year’s first slam.
After a comfortable win on Friday, Nadal will now face compatriot and 27th seed Pablo Carreno Busta in the third round on Saturday.
