Las Vegas : Computer technology company Dell on Wednesday unveiled a range of products, software and innovations in these products designed to improve their performance, functionality and overall user experience.

"With Dell, beauty and brawn lurk beneath beautiful exteriors, revolutionising and redefining personal computing and giving people experiences they want," said Sam Burd, President, Client Solutions Group, Dell.

At the ongoing Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2018 here, Dell launched XPS 13 that comes with InfinityEdge 4K Ultra HD display encased in a rose gold chassis with alpine white glass fiber interior, narrower borders and up to 80 per cent more thermal headroom.

Dell XPS 13 is available on Dell.com, Microsoft.com and your local Microsoft store starting at $999 with an 8th Gen Intel Core i5 processor. Dell also unveiled the first XPS 15 2-in-1 that balances high performance with a sleek design.

The company claims that it is the smallest and thinnest 15.6-inch 2-in-1 available and delivers the CPU and graphics horsepower to run content creation apps, process huge files and play games while featuring touch, pen and an innovative maglev keyboard.

It comes with 8th Gen Intel Core processor combining a high-performance Intel CPU and Radeon RX Vega M graphics. XPS 15 2-in-1 also offers InfinityEdge 4K Ultra HD display with vivid colour in slim 16mm form with aluminum finish, carbon fiber and Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 will be available in the US on Dell.com in April starting at $1,299.99

To increase convenience and productivity, Dell also introduced a software solution that enables wireless integration between Dell PCs and smartphones (iOS and Android).

Pre-installed on all new Dell consumer PCs, "Dell Mobile Connect" empowers users to make calls, send texts, get notifications and mirror their phones to interact with mobile apps. Dell Mobile Connect is available for download and comes pre-installed on all Dell consumer systems starting on January 27.

Dell also launched Alienware Software Command Center and eSports Training Centers that merges system settings, content and other functions into a simple and elegant interface. Alienware Command Center will be available in February.

Alienware is collaborating with NVIDIA and Oculus to create a new category of competitive virtual reality (VR) eSports that combines physical and mental competitive gaming and brings it to the masses.

Dell also announced a new VR-ready Dell Inspiron Gaming Desktop starting at just $799 to reduce the entry cost of VR. Dell is the first PC provider to sell the consumer version of HTC Vive VR headsets.  The company also launched ultrathin monitors -- Dell 27 Ultrathin Monitor (S2719DM) and Dell 24 Ultrathin Monitor (S2419HM).

Dell 27 Ultrathin Monitor (S2719DM) and Dell 24 Ultrathin Monitor (S2419HM) will be available globally from January 30 on Dell.com starting at $499.99 and $299.99, respectively.

Designed for the mobile workforce, Dell's Latitude portfolio of secure and manageable commercial notebooks and 2-in-1s has been fully refreshed with the latest 15W dual-core and quad-core 8th Gen Intel Core vPro 15W processors delivering significant performance improvement. Dell Latitude notebooks are available on Dell.com starting at $779.

To maximise productivity for on-the-go professionals and media enthusiasts, Dell also introduced Thunderbolt 3 storage device and portable drives Dell Portable Thunderbolt SSD 1000 (1TB) and SSD 500 (500GB). Dell Portable Thunderbolt 3 SSD in 500GB ($439) and 1TB ($799) will be available globally from February 28 on Dell.com.
