Delhi : During a presentation, did you receive a WhatsApp call while browsing the internet? or being bothered by all the notifications for group calls? You may now disable WhatsApp call notifications on Windows thanks to WhatsApp's new feature. Through the official beta channel on the Microsoft Store, the meta-owned app is making the new ability to turn off call notifications available to a select group of beta testers.

WhatsApp is delivering the new feature with Windows 2.2250.4.0. Updated WhatsApp for Windows users may now have the option to turn off notifications in the app's settings. As the system DND functionality frequently does not function due to network issues and fails to mute WhatsApp calls, the new feature will assist users in muting notifications for incoming WhatsApp calls if they do not wish to receive them.

Notably, WhatsApp supports calling through its Mac and Windows clients. So, it's possible that consumers using WhatsApp through a web browser won't be able to initiate a call. Also, the mute call notification option for the web is presently rolling out for Windows beta testers, meaning other users, including macOS users, will have to wait a little longer to get the update.

How to stop receiving call notifications from WhatsApp on Windows

  • These methods make it simple to turn off call notifications once the feature is made available to all online users.
  • Launch the WhatsApp web app.
  • Go to Notification under Settings.

Activate the toggle to disable alerts for calls, messages, and "while WhatsApp is closed" if the feature is present under the Notifications menu.

A new "Accidental delete" tool has also been made available for users to undo "delete for me" messages. All Android and iOS users have access to the capability, which gives users a 5-second window in which to retrieve erased texts.

Picture-in-Picture mode will be available to iOS users, Meta has also confirmed in the interim. Users of Android already have access to this capability, and in 2023, iOS users will also have it. Users will be able to utilize other applications while still on a WhatsApp call thanks to picture-in-picture mode.
