Apple likely to disappear notch from iPhone 12 (2020 model)
New Delhi : With the launch of iPhone X in 2017, Apple had introduced the notch on the top of its phone display, which is likely to disappear in the upcoming 2020 model iPhone 12.
According to a report by Lets Go Digital, Apple will be ditching the notch in its 2020 iPhones to opt for a full-screen display. For this, they will be ditching FaceID, hide the front camera under the screen and use an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
The report further mentioned that this will be done only in the top models of the smartphone. The new Apple iPhone 12 will come with 5G connectivity.
For the low-cost models of iPhone 12, they are likely to be made on the lines of iPhone 11, which means that they could sport the notch with an upgrade inside the instruments.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, in his forecast for the iPhone 12 lineup last month, had said that the company could launch four new iPhone models as a part of its iPhone 12 series. However, he had said that all the four iPhone models will come with 5G connectivity.
There has been a trend that Apple changes its design every three years; so, it will not be surprising to see Apple bringing notch-less design in 2020.
