Apple to do away iPhone 17 Pro Max this year: Report

New Delhi : You must have heard about Samsung’s Ultra series phones, also the highest spec flagship ones; according to a report, Apple will also be using the same terminology and launch iPhone 17 Ultra instead of iPhone 17 Pro Max this year. Well, this is not new, similar rumours come every year since the launch of iPhone 15.
A report on the Naver blog indicates that the upcoming iPhone 17 Ultra is expected to replace the Pro Max model. This claim is based on supply chain market analysis, which points to Apple gearing up to introduce new hardware features. For example, the Ultra is likely to feature a smaller Dynamic Island, and the volume of component orders suggests it may not be sufficient to support both Pro and Ultra models.
Additionally, the report notes that the Ultra will be the only model to incorporate a vapor chamber cooling system. It’s also expected to house a larger battery compared to last year’s Pro Max, resulting in a slightly thicker design.
While, it may sound unreal to many but Apple does use Ultra in the name of its famous smart watch and the M3 Ultra chip. Adding Ultra to the name on smartphones may also give its sales a boost.
It will be too early to make any claims as of now and we must wait for Apple to make any official statement on this.
