New Delhi : Xiaomi has been launching budget friendly high tech smartphones in the Indian market. Adding to the bucket is the upcoming flagship smartphone Xiaomi 14, which is slated for launch on March 7. This comes after a series of speculations and teasers were seen making a round on tech social media. The same smartphone was launched in China in last October. The global launch event is set for February 25.

Xiaomi 14 series will be launched with three models - Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi, 14 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Ultra. However, for the Indian market, only Xiaomi 14 is likely to be launched. The announcement made via Xiaomi India's social media handle sets the stage for a significant debut in the Indian smartphone arena. 

Expected Specifications

While not much of the details have been revealed officially, it has been learned that the Chinese Xiaomi 14 will sport 6.36-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED panel, boasting a 120 Hertz refresh rate and a remarkable peak brightness of 3000 nits.

For clear and brighter pictures, the phone has been fitted with a 50 megapixel primary sensor by Lyca with an inbuilt ois, Along with this, a 50 megapixel telephoto lens and a 50 megapixel ultra wide angle sensor has been given on the back. For the selfies, a 32 megapixel front facing camera has been given.

To keep the smartphone running, Xiaomi 14 has been fitted with a powerful 4610 MH battery that supports 90 watt wired fast charging and 50 watt wireless charging capabilities.

According to reports, the phone will be offered in colours like jade green, black, white and snow mountain pink.

Expected Price in India

In China, the Xiaomi 14 was launched across four storage variants, with prices ranging from CNY 3,999 to CNY 4,999. Extrapolating from the Chinese pricing model, it is anticipated that the base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage could be priced around Rs 50,000, while the top-tier variant may reach Rs 60,000, catering to various budget segments.
