New Delhi : InFocus on Wednesday launched Turbo 5 smartphone powered with massive 5000 mAH battery in India. The company has priced it aggressively to woo the audiences.

The smartphone, which also marks the relaunch of the company in India market, sports 5.2 inch HD IPS 2.5 glass display and is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad core processor.

InFocus Turbo 5 runs on the latest Android 7.0 (Nogut) and sports a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP selfie camera.

The device comes with a fingerprint scanner that can be used to unlock it and can also be utilised for starting the flashlight and capturing selfies.

"Turbo 5 focuses on the real consumer needs; which is for a device to last all day and some more, this device takes the rigours of multitasking and lets you sail through the day with ease," said Luo Zhongsheng, Global CEO for Sharp & InFocus Mobile.

InFocus Turbo 5 will be exclusively sold via online retail store Amazon India. The smartphone will be available in two variants - 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage and 3GB RAM/32GB storage priced at Rs. 6,999/- and Rs. 7,999/-, respectively, the company said.

Consumers will be able to buy the device once it is out for sale from July 4.

The company also mentioned its plans of how they are planning to settle the brand in India in coming years. 

"The next 12 months will be a time to watch out for InFocus as we launch an array of innovative and disruptive products in both online and offline channels," Zhongsheng said.

InFocus Turbo 5 will be in direct competition with Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A which has already grabbed the attention of the budget smartphone buyers.
