OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8 start getting Android 11 update
New Delhi : OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 smartphone devices have started receiving the Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update. It has been learned that the current update will reach only a few number of users as the company has not found any major bug in the update as of now.
The Android 11 update will also be rolled out for older phones like OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 6, and OnePlus Nord in the future.
The company announced about the update on its forum. OnePlus notes that users must make sure the battery level is above 30 percent and minimum 3GB of storage space is available before installing the update.
Last month Google had announced that an update of Android 11 will be released for OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 in coming month. If you are using any of the devices, you can check for update by manually going to settings. Otherwise, users will also get a notification about the update, which is of 2.8 GB.
In the latest update, a fresh UI has been introduced with a new dynamic weather UI. The update also takes care of notifications when the device is in gaming mode, where users will be able to choose three ways of notifications: text-only, heads up and block.
OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 get a new quick reply feature for Instagram and WhatsApp notifications in gaming mode.
