Pixel 4 update brings face unlock with it, report customers

New Delhi : The face unlock feature has been reportedly functioning abnormally on the Pixel 4 devices since January update, complained several users.

The initial solution for the issue has been given by the Google as re-enroll the face unlock feature or factory reset the device.

Unfortunately, the solution has worked only for a couple of its users. Some users report they can’t even remove the registered face data, GSMArena reported on Friday.

The affected customers have posted their concerns on the several social media platforms, seeking a solution to it.

In some cases, the face unlock system stopped working after installing the January OTA update.

When users tried to wipe the installed face data, they saw a “Cannot verify face” message.

Meanwhile, some users started receiving system notifications asking them to re-register their facial data again, despite the face unlock feature working fine.
