Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) to launch on November 20: Read specs, price and more

New Delhi : Samsung will launch its quad-camera Galaxy A9 (2018) smartphone in India, this month. Until now, it has sent out media invites confirming the phone will be launching in India on November 20. According to industry sources close to IANS, the 2018 edition of Galaxy A9 will be priced aggressively around Rs 35,000 in the sub-continent. With this price tag, the phone is expected to challenge a newly launched OnePlus 6T and other smartphones from Honor and Vivo.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) four-camera rear system will make its debut in India on November 20. According to industry sources, Galaxy A9 will be priced around Rs 35,000, a price range where Chinese players like OnePlus and Oppo are placed.

It is believed that Samsung will launch Galaxy A9 in new colors, Caviar Black, Bubble gum pink and Lemonade Blue. It must be noted that the device has been launched globally at an event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last month.

A few months ago, Samsung launched the Galaxy A8 Star in India at Rs 34,990 taking on the OnePlus 6. Recently, the price of A8 Star has been minimised to Rs 29,990, making space for the upcoming A9 (2018).

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) will feature a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display on the front, carrying an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 and a resolution of 1080×2220 pixels. Underneath, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

In terms of four camera in A9 (2018), Samsung has packed a 24MP primary sensor, 8MP ultrawide sensor, 10MP sensor with a telephoto lens offering 2X optical zoom and a 5MP depth sensor which will add bokeh effect to the images. The phone boots Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Samsung’s own Experience UI on top. It has a big 3800mAh battery under the hood.
