The phones surfaced on the BIS certification website as rumors of a Jio 5G phone launch later this month circulated. In an endeavor to make India a 2G-free (2G-mukt) country, Reliance has previously discussed its plans to introduce the Reliance Jio 5G smartphone.
Recent sightings of a Jio phone featuring a Snapdragon 480 Plus processor on the CPU benchmarking website Geekbench are in line with Jio's previously announced relationship with the American chipmaker. Additionally, the Geekbench listing implies that the smartphone might have 4GB of RAM. The Jio 5G phone is rumored to have a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD 90Hz screen, a 5,000mAh battery, and dual 13-megapixel back cameras. An 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor might be present on the front.
