Delhi : Two new Jio phones have been seen on India's BIS certification website, indicating their impending release in the nation, ahead of Reliance's annual general meeting at the end of this month. The two devices had the serial numbers "JBV161W1" and "JBV162W1". The new Jio phones may be the same device in several colors, while the specifications are still unknown. The phones surfaced on the BIS certification website as rumors of a Jio 5G phone launch later this month circulated. In an endeavor to make India a 2G-free (2G-mukt) country, Reliance has previously discussed its plans to introduce the Reliance Jio 5G smartphone.

Recent sightings of a Jio phone featuring a Snapdragon 480 Plus processor on the CPU benchmarking website Geekbench are in line with Jio's previously announced relationship with the American chipmaker. Additionally, the Geekbench listing implies that the smartphone might have 4GB of RAM. The Jio 5G phone is rumored to have a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD 90Hz screen, a 5,000mAh battery, and dual 13-megapixel back cameras. An 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor might be present on the front. Additionally, the business might offer assistance with at least 18W charging.

Jio has made a strong case for providing phones to the general public at a reasonable price. The Jio 5G phone is anticipated to be less than Rs 10,000 and run a unique Jio OS for mobile platforms. The business and Google have been collaborating to design a unique interface on top of Android.

Two Jio 4G phones were just released by the firm for Rs 999 each. A 4G phone was created in association with Indian smartphone manufacturer Karbonn. Jio is also asking other manufacturers to produce reasonably priced 4G phones with the Jio logo. These are outdated feature phones with physical keypads, as opposed to Jio's JioPhone Next smartphone. JioPhone Next 5G is another name for the Jio 5G.

Reliance Jio has yet to introduce specific 5G plans in India. At the AGM in 2023, we may anticipate the corporation discussing its 5G deployment in the nation, which plans to cover all towns and cities by the end of this year.

Dedicated 5G plans might also help the business increase sales of Jio Air Fiber, a dedicated 5G hotspot system made for households and businesses. We might also expect the company to make some announcements in the area of artificial intelligence, which is becoming important in the investment plans of many IT company.
