WhatsApp likely to add 24-hour disappearing message option
New Delhi : WhatsApp is currently testing a Disappearing Message feature that will last for 24 hours on your device. This comes after the 7-day limit was introduced earlier for disappearing messages.
According to WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp in Beta, it has been mentioned that the future update on the application will be related to disappearing message "WhatsApp won't replace the 7 days option, but 24 hours will be an addition," the report said on Sunday.
The report mentioned that WhatsApp will soon be including the 24-hour option where people are used to enable/disable disappearing messages for personal and group chats.
When the user will chose 24-hour option, all messages sent/received after this change expire after 24 hours, so they will disappear from the chat.
"The feature is under development and it will be available in a future update for iOS, Android and Web/Desktop," the report mentioned.
Last year in November, WhatsApp had launched the much-awaited disappearing message for both Android and iOS.
