Xiaomi to launch another budget Redmi smartphone in India on March 14
New Delhi : After launching an affordable range of smart TVs in India, Xiaomi will be launching a brand new smartphone in India on March 14. Speculations suggest it is nothing but company's upcoming budget smartphone Redmi 5.
A small teaser was released by the company at the end of the launch event of Xiaomi Smart TVs on Thursday.
Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain and the company along have started tweeting about the March 14 launch. The company has still maintained silence over the name of the device but have tagged it as a #CompactPowerhouse.
The smartphone will be sleek in design confirms Jain via his tweet. As of yet, no additional information about the yet to be announced have been revealed.

Redmi 5 will be a successor to company's successful smartphone Redmi 4. Xiaomi launched the Redmi 5 alongside the Redmi 5 Plus in China in December last year. The Redmi 5 Plus is already available in India as the Redmi Note 5.
