Xiaomi to launch Mi A2, Mi A2 Lite tomorrow: Things you should know
New Delhi : Xiaomi is all set to launch its newly designed Mi A2 tomorrow in Spain. It is the revised version of last year’s Mi A1, which was the first handset from Xiaomi to be a part of Google’s Android One program. Though the Chinese manufacturer hasn’t revealed anything about the device, there has been a stream of speculations that gave an idea of what can be expected in terms of technical features and pricing. Besides Mi A2, recent reports have indicated that Xiaomi will also launch the Mi A2 Lite smartphone. Let’s take a quick look at what Xiaomi has in store for us.
Xiaomi Mi A2, Mi A2 Lite expected prices
If sources are to believe then the Mi A2 may be priced at £209.99, approximately Rs 19,000 in India. However, a few websites claims the smartphone will be priced around Rs 16,105.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, can expected to be priced at €200, approximately Rs 16,095.
Xiaomi Mi A2, Mi A2 rumoured features
The Xiaomi Mi A2 is believed to be a rebranded version of the Xiaomi 6X, which was launched in China earlier. In design front, Mi A2 may come with a taller 6-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9; while, Mi A2 Lite is expected to feature 5.84-notch display. Both of them have the same vertically aligned dual camera setup at the back.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, and RAM options of 4GB and 6GB. The two variants are said to feature storage of 64GB and 128GB respectively. The dual-camera setup at the back is suggested to carry a combination of 12-megapixel and 20-megapixel sensors. For selfies, there will be a 20-megapixel sensor at the front. On the software front, the device is expected to run stock Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-box.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite specifications
The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, and backed by a 4,000mAh battery. There are also said to be two variants of smartphone that come with 32GB storage and 3GB RAM, and 64GB storage and 4GB RAM. It will also run stock Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-box.
