All about Apple September 12 mega event at Steve Jobs Theatre in San Francisco

San Francisco : Apple announced its much anticipated iPhones in the Tuesday mega event held at Steve Jobs Theatre in San Francisco.

iPhone X, latest smartphone added in the Apple bucket, is an all new with a screen that stretches from edge to edge and ditches the home button which was placed on the bottom of every iPhone since 2017.

Here is a look at what all was announced in the Apple Special Event on September 12, 2017:

Apple iPhone X: Phil Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, unveiled Apple iPhone X, reminding what CEO Tim Cook called "the biggest leap forward since the original iPhone." The device has been launched at a price tag of $999 and will be available from Nov 3. The phone sports a 5.8 inch display with 2.1 million pixels, the highest resolution in pixel density ever in an iPhone.

For the first time ever iPhone has ditched its home button and the device can wake up with just some taps; while Siri can be activated via large button on the side. It also comes with a Face ID feature that unlocks the device when comes in direct contact of the authorised user. The phone also comes with a 3-D touch.

Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus: The company also launched two new smartphones – iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus – with improved display and speakers. It comes with a strong glass back that also enables wireless charging on the device. To make it more powerful in terms of performance the company has fitted its latest A11 bionic processor. iPhone 8 Plus comes  with a dual camera technology to capture stunning frames with less noise. The devices will be available from $799 onwards.

Apple TV 4K: Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of internet software and services, introduced a new set-top box that supports sharper resolution TV shows and movies, Apple TV 4K.

People can start ordering the new Apple TV 4K from September 15 and the company will start delivering it from September 22. The TV has been priced at $179 for a 32 GB version, and $199 for a 64 GB version.

Apple Watch Series 3: The Company introduced series 3 of Apple Watch that comes with inbuilt cellular technology. People can place an order from September 15 onwards, while the shipping will begin from September 22. It's the same size as the Series 2 Watch, and the number is the same number that you use on an iPhone, Apple said.

Tim Cook claimed that Apple Watch has become the number one smart watch in the world. The new watch will also allow streaming for millions of songs, Williams said, as it is more power-efficient, has a dual-core processor and supports speaking from Siri. Williams demonstrated making a call on the watch using AT&T.

New iOS 11: Apple also introduced its latest operating system iOS 11.
