Apple launches Apple Arcade, world's first game subscription service
New Delhi : In the biggest Apple event held on Monday, the tech company has launched a new subscription service for gaming. Dubbed as Apple Arcade, it is touted as the world’s first game subscription service for mobile, desktop and TV. Apple Arcade will feature new and original games from top studios including creators like Hironobu Sakaguchi, Ken Wong and Will Wright.
Why subscribe Apple Arcade for gaming?
Apple Arcade is available as a part of Apple’s App Store. It allows users to play top full version of games without in-app ads and even offline across all devices. Apple Arcade subscribers will have access to over 100 new and exclusive games with new ones regularly added. Some of the games will also support game controllers.
Also, Apple is also offering parental control with ScreenTime features for its gaming subscription. Apple also says that no data will be tracked. Like Apple News Plus, Apple Arcade will also have ‘Family Sharing’ at no additional charge
The biggest gaming service will feature games from Annapurna Interactive, Bossa Studios, Cartoon Network, Finji, Giant Squid, Klei Entertainment, Konami, LEGO, Mistwalker Corporation, SEGA, Snowman, ustwo games and dozens more.
“The App Store is the world’s biggest and most successful game platform. Now we are going to take games even further with Apple Arcade, the first game subscription service for mobile, desktop and the living room,” said Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.
“We are working with some of the most innovative game developers in the world to create over 100 new and exclusive games to play across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. Apple Arcade games will be great for families, respect user privacy and will not have ads or require any additional purchases. We think players of all ages are going to love Apple Arcade,” he added.
Apple Arcade gaming subscription service will be available very soon in more than 150 countries across iOS, macOS and tvOS. Be ready to enjoy the unlimited gaming series!
