Facebook's secret plan to enter China revealed

Beijing : China may have banned Facebook in their country but the latter has another way to grip the market of former.

Facebook secretly launched a photo sharing app in China and called it Colorful Balloon, reports New York Times.

According to the report, Facebook secretly joined hands with a local company - Young Internet Technology - to launch the app, ensuring no branding of the social media giant.

In 2009, China had banned Facebook had also imposed a partial ban over the usage of Whatsapp in the country.

It’s not clear if the Chinese government is aware of Facebook’s efforts: the Cyberspace Administration of China didn’t respond to a request for comment from the Times.
