New Delhi : Google has issued a red flag warning to Google Drive users, saying that they must remain aware of spams which can cause a risk of hacking.

According to media reports, users are being alerted about a spam while which is being sent by the hackers and if the user accidentally opens this file then his/her account gets exposed to the hackers. The company has asked users to mark such files as spam and refrain themselves from opening it.

Google has asked people to not approve such files. Even if the approval is given then user must not click on any link associated to it or open the file.

Users can report suspicious files they receive. To do this, you need to click on the three dots given on the smartphone. After that, you have to tap on the report option. If the file is open on the computer, you have to right click on the file. After that, you have to tap on the Block or Report option.

Users can now move suspicious files to a spam folder, a feature that was launched in 2023. Similar to Gmail, the spam folder in Drive stores potentially dangerous files that may be attached or linked to an account. Users can simply drag and drop files into that folder.
