Delhi : Garmin, a leading manufacturer of wearable technology, debuted its Forerunner 965 and Forerunner 265 smartwatch series on Sunday in India.

The Forerunner 265 costs Rs. 50,490 and is available in Black and Aqua, while the Forerunner 965 costs Rs. 67,490 and is offered in Black and Amp Yellow. Both models can be purchased from both online and physical retailers.

"The Forerunner has developed into a dependable friend for all runners worldwide over the years and has been giving them accurate data analysis. In a statement, Missy Yang, Marketing Head, Garmin ASIA & SEA stated, "We are thrilled to host one of the most reputable runners from India -- Hima Das -- for the launch of the most potent Forerunner smartwatches; Forerunner 965 & 265 yet.

According to the business, the new GPS running smartwatches are made for triathletes as well as dedicated and expert runners. They are completely loaded with a variety of training characteristics like stress, sleep, maximal oxygen consumption (VO2 Max), training status/load, training efficacy, and respiration rate.

The Forerunner 265 comes with a Ground Gorilla Glass 4 lens, with an option of a 1.3-inch AMOLED display, and features a battery life of up to 13 days in smartwatch mode and up to 20 hrs in GPS mode. The Forerunner 965 has a titanium bezel, a 1.4-inch AMOLED display, and a battery life of up to 23 days in smartwatch mode and up to 31 hours in GPS mode.

Additionally, the company said that both smartwatches have "Stamina and Acute Chronic Workload Ration" features to monitor and assist users in managing their physical exertion during a run, to prevent "bonking" by overexerting too early and to allow for smarter and less demanding training.
