Delhi : After installing the most recent cumulative updates, Microsoft has acknowledged that certain Windows 11 devices have problems connecting to Wi-Fi. The KB5033375 cumulative update, which was made available during this month's Patch Tuesday, was the update that most affected users experienced, despite the firm only citing the KB50532288 optional preview update as the first update for these Wi-Fi network connection difficulties.

In order to remove KB5033375 and KB50532288, you must do the following:

To uninstall updates, open the Windows start menu, type "Windows Update," and then select Update history.

Choose KB5033375 (or KB50532288) from the list of installed updates, and then click the Uninstall option next to it.

Restart the machine after the update has been removed.

Use the 'Show or Hide Updates' troubleshooter after removing the update to stop it from showing up as an available update from Windows Update again.

This follows a barrage of user reports on Reddit, Twitter, and Microsoft's community site, in addition to some colleges' cautions advising staff and students to remove the faulty upgrades.

In a recent update to the Windows release health hub, Redmond stated, "Microsoft has received reports of an issue in which some Wi-Fi adapters might not connect to some networks after installing KB5032288."

It has been noted that this problem is more likely to impact you if you are trying to use 802.1x authentication to connect to a public, educational, or commercial Wi-Fi network. "We are currently looking into the possibility that Microsoft is the source of this problem. As soon as further information becomes available, we will notify you." Customer complaints state that business wireless networks (eduroam, ubcsecure, and ubcprivate) are affected by this problem. As of right now, it's unknown if this is related to any particular models of wireless network adapters.

Only client platforms (Windows 11 23H2 and Windows 11 22H2) are impacted by the known issue; Windows 10 computers are probably not impacted by these connectivity issues. Affected customers were also requested by Microsoft to create a report under the "Network and Internet" > "Connecting to a Wi-Fi network" section, providing further details about the issues they're having with the Feedback Hub app.

Customers are also asked to use the "Recreate my problem" function on the Feedback centre to replicate the issue on afflicted devices.

A temporary solution is offered.

When further details become available, Redmond will offer an update. Redmond is looking into whether Microsoft is to blame for this problem. It is recommended that consumers remove the issue-causing Windows 11 updates from all impacted PCs in the interim until a patch is made available.
