Delhi : Motorola officially unveiled the Edge 40 in India today as promised. It costs INR29,999 ($360/€335) and is available in Jet Black, Reseda Green, and Coronet Blue colours in a single 8GB/256GB version. Beginning May 30, the smartphone will be sold on Flipkart and Motorola's own Indian website. Those who pre-order it on Flipkart will receive complimentary screen damage protection at INR9,500 ($115/€105).

The Motorola Edge 40 runs Android 13 out of the box and is powered by the Dimensity 8020 SoC. Built around a 6.55" 144Hz FullHD+ OLED screen, it has a fingerprint sensor on the bottom for password-free phone unlocking and a punch hole in the centre for the 32MP front camera. The Motorola Edge 40 contains a 50MP primary camera (with OIS) and a 13MP ultrawide camera on its back panel, which is composed of acrylic plastic on the Coronet Blue edition and has a vegan leather finish on the Jet Black and Reseda Green models.

A 4,400 mAh battery that supports 68W cable and 15W wireless charging powers the whole device. The Motorola Edge 40's other standout features include dual speakers, Dolby Atmos, an IP68 rating, and USB-C.
