OnePlus Pad v Xiaomi Pad 5: Clash of the power tablets
Delhi : After several months of the official introduction, OnePlus has disclosed the cost of its new tablet, the OnePlus Pad. The new tablet has a high-end display and a flagship chipset from Dimensity, but it also runs Android OS, just like many other tablets made by Samsung, Realme, Lenovo, and Motorola.
Android tablets may be useful for reading, viewing films, and even lessening smartphone weariness, even while they fall short of the iPad in terms of connectivity with other Apple devices. However, given that it costs Rs 37,999, some people may think about purchasing a less expensive tablet, such as the Realme Pad X or Xiaomi Pad 5, which are both as capable tablets.
Here is a comparison between the OnePlus Pad and Xiaomi Pad 5 if you're looking to get a new tablet.
Prices: The OnePlus Pad has two storage options:
- 8GB RAM and 128GB storage for Rs 37,999
- Rs 39,999 for 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM
There are two variations of the Pad 5:
- 6GB RAM and 128GB storage for Rs 26,999
- 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for Rs 28,999
Display: Both the Xiaomi and OnePlus Pads have good displays, but OnePlus has the advantage thanks to a new notch. It depends on your preferences (display size), thus that does not imply that the Xiaomi Pad 5's display is subpar.
The 10.9-inch WQHD+ display on the Pad 5 features Dolby Vision and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the bezel sizes are advantageous, and a portrait-oriented 8MP camera is included. The OnePlus Pad has a 144Hz screen with a comparable resolution. The OnePlus Pad's display also features an 8MP camera in landscape position and supports Dolby Vision.
Both tablets contain top-of-the-line chipsets from Qualcomm and OnePlus, but once more, OnePlus may have an advantage in terms of performance and battery life. More discussion of real-world performance will be included in our assessment soon.
The Pad 5 uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 860 SoC, while the OnePlus Pad uses a Dimensity 9000 SoC. The Realme Pad X has 5G capability, which neither tablet has. There are alternatives with up to 256GB of storage from OnePlus and Xiaomi, which have both given careful consideration to the storage.
OnePlus, however, provides additional RAM choices, which might improve multitasking.
Both tablets advertise all-day battery life, while actual results may vary based on usage. Tablets may perform better than laptops or normal phones because they lack cellular connectivity. Simply put, when the tablet is completely charged, you can use it to view many episodes and films at once. Xiaomi claims that films will playback for 16 hours.
A 33W charging 8720mAh battery powers the Pad 5. The larger 9510mAh battery of the OnePlus Pad supports 67W charging.
Camera: The OnePlus Pad and Xiaomi Pad 5 are two of the few tablets with an LED flash, which has a variety of applications. A 13MP back camera with 4K recording capability is included with both tablets.
