New Delhi : The online Battle Royale game, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds or PUBG is most popular among mobile gamers worldwide. The game is addictive and many people say that it is harmful and has negative impact on the users. There have been a number of incidents where state governments have taken steps asking to ban the game.

Lately, a fitness trainer from Jammu has injured himself because he lost a game in PUBG. Now the Surat district administration has imposed a ban on PUBG game. The main reason for the imposing on the ban was because of the increase in violent behaviour among the children and the youth, and they were also addicted to the game.

As per the administration notice, students were found performing poorly in studies because of their addiction to the game.

According the online media reports, the circular to ban the battle royale game has been sent to a number of primary education officers of the district in order to put together measures which would reduce the number of cases which are coming from PUBG Mobile addiction and to enforce a ban on the mobile game.

In a recommendation issued by Jagruti Pandya, Chairperson of Gujarat Child rights body, to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in order to ban PUBG Mobile in the state.

Jagruti Pandya was said, "The NCPCR had sent a letter to all the states and recommended a ban on the game. All the states are required to implement it. Looking at the negative effects of the game, we had recently sent a letter to the state government recommending a ban on the game."
