Delhi : The Galaxy SmartTag 2 was announced by Samsung and will go on sale worldwide on October 11. New and improved ways to track valuables are made possible by improvements made to the Galaxy SmartTag series with the release of Galaxy SmartTag 2. There are now more applications for the gadget than ever thanks to improvements in the design and usability.

The brand-new Lost Mode in Galaxy SmartTag 2 enables users to enter their contact information via a message. After that, anybody who finds an item with a Galaxy SmartTag 2 attached can scan the tag with their smartphone to view the message and contact details of the owner. The pet owner's phone number may now be conveniently kept on hand by attaching a Galaxy SmartTag 2 to the pet's collar.

With the help of arrows that indicate the Galaxy SmartTag 2's orientation and proximity to the user, the device's upgraded Compass View function improves the user experience. Any Galaxy smartphone with UWB capability, like the Galaxy S23 Ultra, has access to this mode.

Newly registered Galaxy SmartTags now create a shortcut to the app on the user's smartphone, allowing users to access SmartThings Find more quickly. The SmartThings Find app has also been updated. The user experience is now much smoother thanks to the app's full screen map display and user-friendly UI. The battery life of the Galaxy SmartTag 2 is up to 700 days using Power Saving Mode, which is more than twice as long as the battery life of earlier Galaxy SmartTag models. Battery life has been increased by 50% from previous versions to 500 days, even in Normal Mode.

With convenience of use in mind, the new compact dimensions and ring-shaped design of the Galaxy SmartTag 2 were developed. By employing metal on the interior of the ring for better resistance and the capacity to accommodate accessories like clips and keychains, the wide metal loop increases the product's longevity. Bags and baggage can also be equipped with these attachments. Galaxy SmartTag 2’s durability has also been enhanced with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.

Many of the well-liked features from Galaxy SmartTag and Galaxy SmartTag+ are still present in Galaxy SmartTag 2. With the help of Augmented Reality (AR) Find technology and the camera on a Samsung Galaxy smartphone, it makes use of both Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and UWB capabilities. Additionally, the Galaxy SmartTag 2 can operate smart home appliances using the SmartThings app and has a maximum Bluetooth range of 120 metres.
