Things you must know about world’s lightest watch 'RM 50-03' made by graphene
Geneva : In advancement to experiments, world's lightest mechanical watch has been unveiled in Geneva, taking forward into the development of more widespread applications of graphene.
Things you must know about the watch and its mechanics are as below:
# The watch has been made of graphene, first isolated in 2004 by Nobel-winning scientists at the university, is just an atom thick, and is expected to revolutionise the automotive and aerospace industries.
# The watch is a result of unique collaboration with watchmaking brand Richard Mille and racing team, McLaren F1.
# The watch has been named as RM 50-03.
# "The graphene composite known as Graph TPT weighs less than previous similar materials used in watchmaking."
# With modifications in the strap of the watch, the makers have managed to bring its weight down to just 40 grams.
