Top tech news: WhatsApp's HD videos, iPhone 15, and more highlights

Delhi : This week was a busy one, with seven new smartphones releasing in India and China. There is much to anticipate in the upcoming weeks as two significant smartphone launches were also announced. The Jio AirFiber launch date was ultimately announced at Reliance's annual general meeting, which was also conducted. This week, WhatsApp also unveiled a new feature.

iPhone 15 release date

Apple's 'Wonderlust' event will take place on September 12th, and invitations were given out earlier this week. Apple is most likely to introduce the new iPhone 15 series during this event. The Apple logo in blue and gray on the launch invitation makes a suggestion about the new color options for the iPhone 15 series. The iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max are among the minimum of four new iPhone models we can anticipate.

Google Pixel 8 series release date

Google also made the decision to announce the launch date for its Pixel smartphones. The Jio AirFiber launch date in India has been announced.

At the AGM the year before, Reliance introduced the Jio AirFiber 5G gadget. However, it omitted information regarding the AirFiber's availability or cost. It has now been made official that Jio AirFiber will be on sale on September 19. But the price has still not been made public. Jio AirFiber is a 5G hotspot capable of providing broadband speeds comparable to fiber. Since it is portable, connecting to the internet is as easy as plugging it in. 

WhatsApp videos in HD

WhatsApp rolled out the option to send HD films on the app after debuting HD photographs. To improve the video quality on WhatsApp, use the HD option immediately. The video resolution will be 720p if you select HD. The default video quality, which is SD and 480p, will be used. Although it won't be quite as good as the original, it will still be far better than SD.

Launch of the iQOO Z7 Pro in India, the Realme GT 5 in China, and more

This week saw the launch of seven different smartphones, as was already announced. The Realme GT 5 and the Vivo V29e were released in China and India, respectively, on August 28. The Find N3 Flip, an OPPO foldable phone, was introduced in China the following day, on August 29. The iQOO Z7 Pro made its premiere in India the next day, while the iQOO Z8 and Z8x made their debut in China.
