Delhi : Vivo may be preoccupied with the flagship market and the incoming flagships in its Vivo X100 series, but the company won't stop adding new competitors to the mid-range market. Today, Vivo unveils the eagerly awaited Vivo Y200. It's a respectable low-end smartphone that will provide some competition to this market. The essential characteristics, specifications, and cost of the phone will be covered in this article.

PRESENTING THE VIVO Y200

The Vivo Y200, which has just made its official debut in India, is the immediate replacement for the Vivo Y100, which debuted back in February. With a stunning 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, it offers a respectable boost over its predecessor. The selfie camera is cut out in the center of the 16.94 cm height display. This phone boasts an interesting in-display fingerprint scanner. This is unusual for mid-range technology.

A 16 MP camera on the front should be sufficient for taking quality selfies and making video calls. Two camera holes are housed in a rectangular camera cutout on the back. The primary camera is a 64 MP camera with OIS, and a 2 MP depth sensor is attached to it. The Smart Aura Light on the Vivo Y200 offers 38 levels of color temperature modification based on environmental lighting.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset drives the phone. This is a respectable octa-core chipset with an Adreno GPU and a maximum clock speed of 2.0 GHz. Users of this CPU can play casual games and enjoy social media without any problems. With moderate graphic settings, certain demanding video games might also run. The phone has 8 GB of RAM and is available with either 128 GB or 256 GB of storage.

A 4,800 mAh battery with a 44W fast-charging speed powers the Vivo Y200. The Funtouch 13 skin, which is based on Android 13, covers the software side of the phone, but it is also upgradeable to Android 14 when it becomes available.

PRICES AND AVAILABILITY

The Vivo Y200 is currently offered in India in the colors Desert Gold and Jungle Green. The price of the smartphone in its 8GB/128GB trim is INR 21,999 ($264), while the 8GB/256GB variant is INR 23,999 ($289). The phone is available for purchase directly from Amazon India and the official vivo online store.
