Delhi : As a business tool for Android, WhatsApp is rolling out the status archiving function. More users will be able to use the functionality soon, according to platform tracker WABetaInfo. For beta testers on Android, the Meta-owned platform has lately introduced a screen-sharing capability with a new location for tabs within the bottom navigation bar.

The instant messaging platform's development focuses on enhancing the status tab. When the functionality is activated, users will see a notice banner in the status tab. After 24 hours, the status updates will be archived on the device. Additionally, users may see the archive straight from the menu on the status tab and modify their archive preferences.

"Note that the archive is always private, so only the business can see their archived status updates," WABetaInfo said.

The gadget will save the status updates for up to 30 days. Account users can continue to create Facebook and Instagram adverts and share status updates until they expire in the archive. Meanwhile, WhatsApp is working on introducing usernames for accounts, a feature comparable to Instagram and Twitter handles.
